Another half-year of work on prevention of unacceptable behaviour of children is behind us. More than 70 children, their parents and class teachers completed the journey we started at the beginning of this school year.
Through the program “Prevention of unacceptable behaviour of children” and workshops with the children, their parents and teachers, counselling for children/parents and regular exchange of information and mutual cooperation with teachers, we all learned something new about prosocial behaviour, acquired new knowledge and skills in the field of communication, realized how conflicts can be solved in a nonviolent way. We also had great time and fun.
We hope that by implementing this programme in three schools in Zagreb, we further reinforced theschool climate focused on the needs of children!
Here’s what the kids said about the workshops:
- I liked it when we made a poster on group rules. I also liked conversations about the rules of behavior.
- I liked when we talked about what we do well. I learned a lot about others and about myself.
- I learned that we are different and special.
- It is not nice to talk to others behind your back.
- It was great when we talked like a giraffe or a snake. I learned what communication is.
- I liked a strip about donkeys and I really liked how we tried to resolve the conflict.
- I liked having interesting topics during the workshops and examples from real life. I did not like that there was noise sometimes. I would like to tell the teachers that they should always stay so good.
